Vero Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Ugh I know everyone goes through a bad breakup, but it's been about 7 months since my ex left me. Long story short, I was pretty clingy and she did me wrong and left for some other guy less than a month later. I've grown a lot mentally since this happened though, so that's good. Not to flatter myself, but I'm a kind, decent-looking, really sweet, very active (track and field), smart (4.0+ GPA), funny high school sophomore. I'd say a lot of people know me and admire me at school and I'm pretty unique. I have some senior friends at school that I talk to about this type of stuff, and they said that since school is ending and summer is starting, I might as well wait till next school year for new classes, and hopefully new girls to meet. I've waited for so long for someone else and I've hurt so much. I don't ****ing deserve to feel like this when my dirt bag of an ex gets to be happy with some other guy. I'm very content with my single life, but that relationship really screwed me up. Is there anyway I can meet new girls my grade this summer or am I going to have to take my friends' advice and wait till next school year? Thanks!
Potz4prez Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Why not just focus on enjoying your summer? Get involved in some sort of group activity. If you meet a girl, cool. If not, you can tell all the girls next year about your awesome summer. 1
GorillaTheater Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 When I was in high school, the best place I found to meet girls was at the pool or the beach. In fact, I met my future wife at the beach. No other venue came close. 3
jbelle6 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Do no ones parents go away anymore? Best parties were in the summer when I was your age. And as mentioned, the beach or pool? Do you have any theme parks nearby? Do some fun stuff without worrying who you will meet, girls will be there. What about coed sports? Baseball or volleyball or something?
d0nnivain Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 The local swimming spot, wherever teens congregate (the Mall?) or playing some sort of recreational summer league sport seem to be where I remember making summer connections.
