Last time this happened to me (4 weeks ago), I just looked at her for a second or two, until she said she still wanted to stay friends though. and I said sure, in a disappointed tone.

I really doesn't matter what you say at that point.

Naa, it totally matters. Because 50% of the time, there is no boyfriend. So if you act defeated, or angry, it just shows what type of person you are

You are correct.. 50% of the time there is no boyfriend.

But 100% of the time she's not interested.

"I'm sure you can do better. Take me, for instance!"

Say:

"I'm not surprised.

You are a beautiful woman.

I'm sure you can tell that my designs are not platonic.

But seeing as you're not free (give a big smile and a wink), I wish you well with him."

(Back up from her while smiling cheekily and holding her gaze, then quickly turn with intention and walk away. Don't look back. She'll never forget you.)

Always show class. Thank her and give a mild compliment.

She may have single girlfriends, etc.

Next time you see her give a nice smile and little wave.

We women really judge a guy by how he handles adversity. Often we have had an immature or passive/aggressive partner in the past. It's refreshing to meet a guy with class.

If you are at a dance, event, etc. and she is with a friend and sees you...what better reference is there than her telling her friend 'he seems like a really nice guy'. That is what we women want to hear above everything else.

this keeps her in your mind

That's okay, I have one too.

"Oh well, can't blame me for trying can ya my dear? You're a good looking lady."

That is all I personally would say to her and leave it at that.

By society rules, if you're a guy who's not considered in the top tier/top echelon of height and attractiveness you will get creep stamped or maybe get a warning from the harassment police. If you're a guy with all the good looks she desires, she might hesitate in saying "no" to you, just to gauge your level of interest.

Some women who have no interest or attraction for a guy after he's approached her, will say she has a boyfriend just to let him down easy. I agree with what others are saying here. Often, the ladies who are approached don't necessarily have a boyfriend. Using this excuse is the easiest way to not hurt a guys feelings aside from the truth.
