purplesoccer34 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I created an account on one of the online dating sites, but for a while (a few months) I didn't log in because I was pretty busy. In fact, I almost forgot I had it. One day, I remembered I had the account and decided to log in randomly. I got a message from a guy who seemed pretty attractive, so I decided to message him back. He and I went back and forth talking for about a week and a half. The guy seemed very interesting and I wanted to meet him. One day, he messaged me asking if I would like to get coffee. I agreed, and he suggested a few places that we could go. After that message, a few things happened at work and I got super stressed out and busy. I completely forgot to respond to his message--I remembered his message about 2 weeks later, but by then I decided that I lost my chance with this guy--since I forgot to respond to his message. I didn't want to, but I decided that I should forget him and move on, since he may have been annoyed that I never responded. For some reason, I haven't been able to forget him though. I really really want to meet him. The last time we talked online was at the end of March, but now he deleted his account--however, he did give me in his email. Maybe he deleted his account because he found someone--I'm not sure. I know I made a huge mistake by not responding to his message, but I really want to meet him. It's kind of bugging me. Would it be weird if I emailed him now? Even though it's been two months?
Potz4prez Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Well if you don't, nothing changes. If you do, and he doesn't respond, nothing changes. If you do, and he responds, you may find yourself on an amazing date. Seems like a low-risk, high-reward investment. 1
CarrieT Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Would it be weird if I emailed him now? Even though it's been two months? Honestly, if someone approached me out of the blue after two months, my first suspicion would be that they were a player who had a short-lived romance that didn't work and I was the second choice. You could try and contact me, but don't be disappointed if he isn't interested. But you never know until you try.
halfcrazed_i Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Email him -- what have you got to lose? Worst case scenario is that he's already found someone. And you're already prepared for that, right? Best case scenario, he's still available... and that he ends up being the love of your life There's only one way to find out! 1
