SpotyLove Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I'm a 30 yo guy trying to find a serious mate. I've tried OLD but it's just not working out too well. Any suggestions for finding single ladies besides bars(another scene that has amounted to little)?

The ones by me kept getting cancelled because there weren't enough men Industry networking events. Whatever you do for a living go to the quasi-social events they have. Bookstore, coffee shops, grocery stores. Co-ed team sports By telling friends & family that you are open to being set up. I heard about one guy who posted the desire to be introduced to nice women on his FB page & let his social network hook him up. Alumni organizations -- again you already have some commonality Attending singles events. They come in all shapes & sizes. I met my husband before I had the chance to try it out but I was intrigued by one that would have set me up for a round of golf with a guy. I did go one called Leashes & Lovers where I could bring my dog. My dalamatian got me lots more attention then all the women with dogs in their purses I also went to one where we played board games. It was a no pressure way to talk to somebody over a leisurely competition.

Anything that involves people coming together and working towards a certain cause, and that cause is for others to meet, network and socialize (whether or not for romantic purposes). Will they all work? No, they won't all work. It's a very delicate balance of things with people in any kind of relationship, but the key here is DON'T SAY NO, TRY ANYTHING and EVERYTHING in order to get your face out there and to meet others. It combats loneliness if nothing else, and it makes you feel good about yourself that you tried. 1
