I have been talking to this girl I met from online. She seems great and I would like to meet and get to know her. Thing is she meets a lot of women online as friends. She says if something "sparks " with someone that is a bonus but she is looking for friends and maybe more. Well, I don't want to immediately fall into the friend zone, I want to be something different. Any tips? Never met anyone online before.

Different women respond to different stuff so I can't give you an exact roadmap to success but insinuating you're greatly attracted to her usually never hurts.

So I met a woman online and we started chatting. She is new to the area and wants to meet new friends. At one point I asked if she was open to more than friendship, she said absolutely, if she felt the connection.

We texted most days for about a month and a half. Finally, last week we went to lunch and got along well. SHe is a type of girl that you can't not get along with. Very outgoing, etc. I picked up the check and she said she would get it next time.

We still talk most days. She may be going to a concert with my friends and I this weekend. It depends, as she has plans to go out of town, but they may be getting cancelled. We have even discussed going on vacation at the end of the summer.

It could go either way... she could like me, or she could just want to be friends. I know she met other woman online and they are friends, she told me that she told them that she just wanted friendship with them. She hasn't said that to me...yet.

Just wondering what I can do to not be friendzoned. Haven't dated in a long while, and I have never not known if someone liked me or not....

Try for some casual contact at the concert. Touch her arm. Bump her shoulder. See if you can get her to hold your hand. Based on your success with those things, move on to a kiss.

I just wish she would make some comment or something to give me a clue. I really don't want to try something if she is just thinking friends.

I do like her and I am extremely attracted to her. But, I could go either way, friendship or more...

Just wish she would say something to signal me....who knows maybe she will try something....

Have you complimented her looks? If you do and she reciprocates that's a good sign and will build confidence within both of you. Make sure you are complimenting on more than just that though. Like she said, she's looking for connection. Hopefully it's there.

Have you only been with her the one time in person? Maybe setup more dates where you have the possibility of being alone.

She mentioned coming over and cooking dinner this weekend....and said she would need a place to crash if she was going to have some cocktails.... but still that can be friend stuff....

Yes, we have both complimented looks. ANd share pics of each other via texts sometimes...

If she is willing to come to your house for a meal & is already talking about drinking & staying over, that is some evidence she wants to be more than friends.

Hope so, but we shall see.

Still, it could just be a friendly thing. I know she had friends over to her house for dinner a while back.

sounds like she's interested. maybe SHE thinks you're friend zoning HER! :p

That is true.....

But now, I just asked her if she was going out of town this weekend, and she said no....but she never mentioned going to the concert with me....

I feel like since I already asked her that she should be the one to mention it again....

I know, probably doesn't really matter, but I just don't want to be chasing someone that doesn't feel the same...

Your are playing power / head games. There is no score keeping in relationships. It's not her turn to mention the concert. She can't read your mind.

Ask her point blank if she's going. Nail down the specifics. When you are vague about these things you get yourself into trouble & the doubts creep in.

Even if she doesn't go to the concert, you should still attend. You might meet a better girl there. Even if you don't the next time you talk to her you can crow about what a great concert she missed.

But you don't know how she feels, right?

Why not find out a bit by flirting a bit. Feel it out the next time you hang out. Make a small but clear gesture. Hold her hand. Make longer eye contact. Most importantly, have fun. If you truly are ok with being either her friend or more, than you have nothing to worry about but to just have the best time you possibly can with her and it will work itself out.

But don't be afraid to show interest....just keep it light without pressure.

Ok, so I hurt my knee today and I can't walk. Told her that I had to sit all weekend so she suggested the movies tomorrow. In the afternoon. Not night. Still feels friendship like. I have to mention that she does a lot with friends.

I don't know. I can't tell if she is a player.

I'm sorry you hurt your knee.

See how the movies go. You will learn more from her behavior than talking to us.
