Author you_can_not_see_me Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 I'm always oblivious. I never know, and when I find out, I'm typically surprised. you have never been able to tell if a guy was interested in you?
Phoe Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 you have never been able to tell if a guy was interested in you? Well, once a guy is dating me I know he's interested, but before it reaches that point? I would never know. I had 2 guys from high school tell me, YEARS after graduating, that they had liked me back in high school. I was stunned. I never would have guessed. I actually thought they both disliked me a bit. It's cause they teased me a lot, I took it as them hating me, not them liking me. Or I'll be dead wrong, a guy will seem friendly with me and I think "hmm, maybe he likes me" - so I start showing interest in him, and then suddenly he's dating some other girl, or I'll pursue him and get rejected. So then I realize that, YUP, I was quite wrong on that. I just can never tell, haha.
somedude81 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 They ARE very good at picking those signals up. They just play dumb afterwards so they can wash their hands of any accountability later on and blame it on the bloke as usual. All this is done purely for attention seeking and boredom stemming from a very empty life. I don't know if they were pretending. I've had girls seem pretty shocked once I told them that I was interested. Usually these were girls that I'd been friends with for a month or more. Normally I'm just not very forward with women and my flirting is pretty light, so they don't pick up on it.

They just had a crush and didn't do anything about it, I obviously made an attempt. I m pretty convinced that the girl in my case knew but for whatever reason, she decided to play along to a certain point. I doubt she intended to hurt me on purpose. Its possible she lost interest at a certain point or got caught up in the moment.
Hopeful30 Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Girls do it for the same reason men ask for a girls number and then never call them.
