AHHHHHHHH! worse thing I could have done to myself.

It was my birthday yesterday, and oh course I called my ex being completely drunk out of my mind!

I was crying for sure, and the rest is all a blur. The conversation I saw lasted for about 10 MINS!!

AHHHHHHHHHH. I feel like such a BUTT HOLE. WHY! WHY! WHY! Did I not deleted his number? Why did I freaken CALLED HIM? Blahhhhhhh!

Friend, take a moment to breathe if you're still in this panic mode.

I don't know your whole story, I suppose you're hurt from a break-up. The answer to your question is: you had a weakness moment caused by alcohol poisoning. You're not a butthole, you're not foolish or stupid. You were just not really in control of your actions and submitted to what your mind became used to do - contacting a close person in times of distress.

And this is not the worst thing you could have done to yourself. Worse things in no particular order:

  • Cutting your wrists with a knife
  • Having random unprotected sex
  • Loosing your money or giving away your credit card information
  • Running under your ex's windows under the rain out of despair (<--- This one I actually did, some years ago)

If you put things in perspective, this is a common and not even so extreme mistake. Think about it as "...**** happens, I'm back in recovery mode". What can you learn from this? Delete the number and try not to poison yourself with alcohol anymore, for it makes things only worse. ;)

Hang in there, we cheer up for ya.

- Erl

Ps. Happy Birthday! :)

Happy Birthday......drunk dialing is just one of those things we all do from time to time, no need to panic. Deep breath and then release. It will be ok.

Don't beat yourself up over it. You're human... well a drunk human (lol) but it happens to most people.
