Author jay1983 Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Devil's advocate here. Is it possible she never received your text and thinks you flaked on her? She received every text before that, we text a lot, then all the sudden she didn't get the last one about the date?

We are talking about 1 text and date with effectively a stranger. Jeez Im sure most of us are talking to multiple people, dont we say "multidate dont put all your eggs in one basket" etc etc. She could have been seeing someone before she met u, met u and liked u but felt she had to see things through with the first one as she doesnt know anything about u and wouldnt meet u whilst doing that (maybe shows she wouldnt cheat?!) and thats come to an end (maybe she dumped him for you!) and she would like to pursue things with you.. Sit and wonder about it if u like but I think what do u have to lose by going on one date with her x If she was seeing somebody, why would she be online looking and why would she talk to me for a week? She not the devil, but should I waste my time after she flaked.
HeartbrokenNewbie Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I dont know but its obviously playing on your mind, whereas had u given her a chance u would know once and for all :-) Im not defending her or anything but her situation could be a bit screwed up and she bottled it, if shes recently broken up we are all over the place. Love can be found in the strangest of situations. At the end of the day is it worth never knowing what could have happened just over her not sending 1 courtesy text and also the possible chance she did send it but u never got it? x What is the risk of giving her one date so u can suss her once and for all? x

Bailing on someone, without letting them know, after you've agreed to meet up with them is another.

At first I thought it was something about me and really started working on myself asking all kinds of advice from friends, family, coworkers. Funny thing is none of them thought there was anything wrong with me, neither did any of my exes. When I asked other girls who were friends of mine they would either tell me stuff like broken heart and martadln or they'd nit pick something as simple as "you should have told her it was close to her house" My dumbass would take that advise, "okay, next time I'll be very thorough details, I'll be nicer, I won't be as nice" Come to find out it wasn't just me at all, it's actually very common, guys just don't like to admit it. So started googling "why do girls flake" and found some forums different from this one where people on there were kinda mean and brutally honest. I got answers from some girls being honest. The reason girls flake is cause they didn't think you are worth their time. They do it without really thinking about it. When they meet you they think hey he's cute, funny whatever, then that feeling wears off for various reasons. It could be that they were talking to someone else at the same time, they could have finished watching benjamin button, emotions go wild and wrapped their head around a prince charming fairy tale. A really looking guy might have smiled at them and……. This however is first time one tried to reconnect. It through me off, so I made a thread and went with what the majority of the people said.
