you_can_not_see_me Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 This semester I meet a girl in one of my classes, I thought there was genuine attraction between me and her and she seemed pretty interested. but after procrastination for a long time, on a day when she seemed a little upset, I asked her out in a rather iffy manner. she said she was seeing someone in some form, and that we should remain friends, she also asked for my phone number. She was withdrawn the first day after the rejection, so I let her be, the following times though she didn't seem as withdrawn, we haven't spoken much since , but siting in class I occasionally see her looking at me and I am getting the vibe that she's disappointed we no longer associate with one another. I don't understand why our "friendship" would have been so important for her. Sure we had a couple deep conversations, but that was pretty much it and at the time I just felt that was significant only because it suggested a deeper interest, but apparently she wasn't romantically interested, and yet without a romantic context to our interactions there really isn't much there at all. seeing her like this today, has made me contemplate whether I should go to her and talk. I can come to terms with being just friends with her I suppose, but I am honestly a little confused why she cares at all.
PegNosePete Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 She rejected you - ball is in her court bro. If she wants to take back her rejection then it's up to her to take action. Don't hold your breath, move on and have fun.

I don't even think she is going to take back the rejection, she has my number she could easily call or text me if she changed her mind. what I am confused about is why a so called friendship is important enough for a girl to get upset over.
PegNosePete Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 "A girl"... you would have to ask that specific girl. They aren't all the same you know
