You cant see pics during those free weekends can you? Did you go simply off his profile?

SadNLonely:

I did just go off his profile...which is HIGHLY unusual for me. Typically if someone on Match would email me with no photo I wouldn't even consider it.

So, why did i do it....? I don't know.

But, after we went through all the communication, within 24 hours, he emailed and asked me to meet. I then had to profess that I was "Driving blind" and was working that day and would get back to him that evening after signing up. I told him where I was working (its an hour away from him). That night before leaving work he came in and introduced himself. He was in my mall because his daughter had an appt that afternoon in my area and they came to meet his son/DIL there for dinner. They were early, and he saw the store I work in. He wondered if that could be MY store....walked in and saw me. Later he came back in by himself asking for help. I started helping him and he introduced himself....about fell over from surprise. That was almost 4 months ago..

I never tell people where I work, or much about me til i have met them a couple times....and never answer someone with no pics....cannot explain my behavior but it has been great so far.

OKCupid

I was out of town when I originally messaged her so we ended up messaging back and forth for a while. They tended to be surprisingly long messages actually, longer than any other I've done on OKC. We went out a few days after I got back into town. First date felt awkward (to me at least). Second date went great and we've been together four months now.

I met my ex of three years, as well as my current boyfriend on POF surprisingly! Both are genuinely awesome, not crazy people!!

Join a recreational sports team with a few friends, go to a hobby class, go to a speed dating event! (I've always wanted to try something like that!), as long as you're putting yourself out there and not keeping to yourself while you're out and about, you're bound to meet someone of interest!! :)

Tinder

Someone deserves a lifetime achievement award for that app

Honestly...on an erotic site. The last place either of us thought we'd meet and fall in love with someone, lol.

I have met guys on Tinder, POF, and most of the time just out and about at random. I am kind of anti-online dating anymore. I have just had mostly bad results from it, but I know plenty of people who swear by it. My ex-husband walked up to me at my old job and just started talking to me. I mean complete stranger just struck up a conversation with me. You really just never know....

Met my most recent ex through a friend at a party. My bf prior to that, I met at a club/bar.

We did a show together. Work is my dating pool, for the most part.

I'm surprised by how many people are meeting their partners online. Perhaps this explains the level of dating dysfunction that we are seeing in this forum.
