Brokenlady Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Exactly... It's an insult and a slap to my face but it's what I needed to read from him. He has zero filters and confessed sometimes he says things without thinking but I'm glad he wasn't thinking this time. It was a low blow but something I needed to cut those feelings off. Don't mistake that for an accident. It wasn't. He truly thinks that should be enough for you "because of his situation". He doesn't see a problem with what he said. That suggests a scarier problem with his thought processes. Remember this if you're ever tempted to get sucked back in. 2

Overall he's a selfish person so that thought process is how he truly feels. Geez I'm so glad I got away from that! In an instant my feelings for him went away... Again for whatever reason, the truth needed to be said to fully let those feelings go. NC just got easier for me. My heart goes out to anyone suffering from the NC but when someone shows you how the situation is believe them. But in my case, words had to send the message loud and clear! Do not let yourself make excuses for that behavior later. There isn't a good one. If it helps, I think there is such a thing as over-processing the A.
