Just as a forewarning...

If you are in NC or recently split with someone you spent a fair amount of time with... whatever you do... DO NOT download "timehop".

It's some app that goes back into your previous posts on facebook (and probably twitter too, I'm not sure) and posts daily to you what you were doing a year, two, three, four and five years ago.

I made the mistake of downloading it and in the past 3 days I've gotten notifications of it about activities I posted to FB last year this time. It did a number on me to see those pics and posts from when I thought I was so happy.

So if you are trying to heal and move forward, don't get suckered into downloading this app.

Thanks for the head's up, i don't think It would be a problem for me since my ex is blocked on FB :)

Right... my ex is blocked on FB as well. This doesn't pull up their posts, it pulls up your own.

A year ago I was busy posting stuff about things that we had been doing together as a family. It didn't help my healing process to see that stuff right now.

that's why dumpees are told on here to delete all text messages/photos/mementos given to them from the dumper.

seeing an old photo of you two together or a message from them telling you they love you, well it will just bring up really painful memories and set you back.

if you can't bring yourself to delete or destroy the photos put them away in a safe storage place and dont look at them for at least a few years.

I understand what you are saying... however these aren't photo's ... these are old posts on fb. First thing I did after deleting and blocking my ex on fb was to delete all photo's of him. It really is way too much of a pain in the behind to go back and delete 5 years worth of posting though. It's not like I go scrolling back through all my old posts from years ago... but that's exactly what Timehop does.

But yes... take it as you will... I'm just warning other people so they don't make the same mistake I did not realizing what the app actually does.
