Shepp Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Pffftt I never cook ANYTHING that doesn't have meat in it! Bet that makes for an intresting Apple crumble!!
Babolat Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 It never hurts... A man who feeds me is a plus. My current bf doesn't cook much but expresses an interest in being better. He's great in lots of other more important ways though. I on the other hand LOVE feeding the people I love and my bf appreciates it because on top of it being delicious, it symbolizes nurturing and the fact that I care about him enough to do it. I love to cook for the woman I am dating..it's fun, turns me on, it's something we can share together, etc. 1
Babolat Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I'm not a guy who wants a ton of cupcakes or cookies lying around. Nor am I; but cook me a hearty meal, Mmmmmmm! I do like women who have diverse tastes. There are a lot if good restaurants in my neighborhood, so it's nice to have sushi one night, Ethiopian the next, Thai the night after, Greek after that, some French, Argentine steak, etc etc. Agreed, this is very attractive in a woman
Phoe Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Bet that makes for an intresting Apple crumble!! Haha! Well I admit I'm not much of a baker. I used to be really good at baking back when I was high school age. Lately my cookies have come out of the oven looking oh so strange. I'm not sure whether I've lost my baking skills or if the new oven in this house is just lousy. I used a different oven when I was younger, it was quite old but good. My cakes were so moist. I made some amazing cookies for my boyfriend a while back though. Peanut butter red velvet crinkles, with hershey's kisses pressed on the top. He went mad over them, ate WAY TOO MANY in one sitting, and said "please don't make them again I can't control myself" - then a minute later says "NO I lied, please keep making them!" Actual cooking though, on the stovetop, that's more my forte these days.
acrosstheuniverse Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I agree, it's more about the fact that somebody took the time and effort to cook for me though rather than the dish having to be particularly spectacular. I'm vegan and like most vegans I know, a massive foodie... when you limit your diet in any way, you tend to be more creative, seek out new foods and recipes, and personally since I made that leap nearly a decade ago have found that I appreciate food so much more. I definitely live to eat! I'm pretty good in the kitchen, no gourmet chef but I can cook many homemade, healthy (and some not so healthy) delicious meals from scratch. I love to cook with my boyfriend, there's something really intimate about spending half an hour in the kitchen together working on a meal and then enjoying it in each other's company. Makes cooking so much more fun. My favourite thing to do is to surprise him with leftovers for lunch the next day in a tupperware, we don't live together but he stays here most nights and he always feels really touched when before he leaves I sleepily mention that he has his lunch waiting for him in the fridge. Same deal when I get home from work super late like 11pm and he has spent all night making me dinner so that I can have something healthy and tasty before I crash out rather than skip a meal or eat a bowl of cereal
Targetlock Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 through the stomach is easier than through the rib cage bwa ha ha but seriously yes in my case it is definitely true
Andy_K Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Given that I live on chicken breast and vegetables, it's hard to imagine this ever being true for me! Now if that effort that could have been spent on cooking was moved to the bedroom on the other hand...
Emilia Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Cooking him a nice meal, pouring a glass of wine or beer and he is putty in my hands 2

This is my problem with baking it goes in the oven fine but i dont posses the touch of magic to make it come out the oven like i want! blueskyday Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) Yes, it's true. My mom jokes that every man I cook for asks me to marry him. Haha! In my experience, one doesn't need to bake cookies and cakes (excepting birthdays!) Just cook a good pot roast, some vegetables and potatoes and pour a nice glass of wine. Then, later, put the leftovers in a Tupperware for him to take to work the next day! Add a blow job, and a wedding proposal is imminent. Just kidding! It's nice to take care of and appreciate your partner in all ways possible. Edited May 7, 2014 by blueskyday
