So a person at my job asked if i wanted a girlfriend. Its their cousin. I said not really looking for one. Honestly i just wasn't sure what to say. Both of us are 18 and never dated before. She graduates HS this year. and i did the year before.

As much as I would love to go out on my first date, I just dont know if ill have time to see her, if it goes any where. I suppose it would start out like a date a week, or something like that. they said she was talking about how she really wants a boyfriend. That kinda worries me if ill be smothered . The only time I'm really free is in the afternoon on weekends. I do like my free time though. My school starts in a few months and ill be even more limited with time during the week. I just wondered if I should go ahead and try it out?.?.

Thanks

You can just meet her to even see of you two have any sparks or compatibility. You don't have to date her if you don't want to. Meet and if she seems desperate or clingy say you have a lot on your plate right now and are sorry but can't devote the extra time to her as you can tell she wants something more than you can give.

Just hang out with her like she's a buddy

It depends on how you feel about blind dates.

I've never been on one and don't think I would agree to it. It's embarrassing to me, that I need to be set up because I can't find a man otherwise. I know it's not like that, but part of the attraction is a man asking me out and approaching me and talking to me. If that doesn't happen, I'm already hesitant to go on a blind date where someone had to ask me out FOR them.
