avoforastig Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I have to admit this has been a rock bottom dating week. Three dates resulted in 3 last minute cancelations. I can't help but feel largely saddened despite the lack of personal fault. I just don't know where to turn. Friends aren't helpful, internet flakes worse than dry skin ((((
FrustratedGuy91 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Think of it this way. Would you really wanna be in a relationship with the kind of person that cancels at the last minute?
Assasda Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Why the hell does this bum you out? Sure you might feel a little disappointed but, you dont need chicks to make you feel good about yourself 1

Sure you might feel a little disappointed but, you dont need chicks to make you feel good about yourself Great point! It just gets frustrating when people waste my time and it is disappointing to expend energy preparing myself and planning for a date. First dates are stressful and I think it's really rude to allow someone to go through that for nothing. Maybe I just don't have the proper mindset for OLD. I obviously don't need anyone to make me happy, it's really just the only thing I'm missing in my life.
GemmaUK Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 What were the reasons for the last minute cancellations?
DArtagnan2 Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Online dating is difficult and you really have to have tough skin to weed through it. A suggestion I may have for you is to plan going out to places to meet people instead of expending the energy with online dating. At least you will be getting out and doing things you like to do and if you don't meet someone, then you haven't wasted a second nor will you have to start over in finding someone or have to deal with the drama of why they canceled.

Or plan to have your first date at a place where you will still enjoy yourself if they don't show -- the food, the atmosphere, the activity, etc. You also might use it as an excuse to chat up another woman by saying you've been stood up and get a conversation going about online dating. If she isn't interested, she might have single friends.
Joaquin Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I read this into today's newspaper. "Rachel says a lot of her friends prefer to chat on Tinder rather than actually go on a date. “When you’re bored during the week you have someone to text. Others say it’s great for your ego" I think its par for the course and you had a bad run. Keep on keeping on.
