Split the check on the first date or not?

She's cute, she's a fair complected white girl, slightly freckled. We met up again yesterday for the Mayweather fight. Her mannerism is what's a little strange, she seems nervous and she's always apologizes for saying things that seem normal and not at all offensive. I told her lets go watch the fight were my friends were watching it. She said she was tired and really liked this other place in her area. So we go to the place she was talking about, cover charge, food, drinks, total $67 + tip =$77 (I paid for everything, I'm not stingy)

 

Okay so she knew the waitress that served us. "Hey this my friend, we've known each other since we were kids, her mom is so and so, her sister..... she's gonna be moving in at end of the month" So I thinking this is one of her close friends. An hour into it our drinks empty and the waitress hadn't checked on us for a while. I said where's your friend. "I don't know she may have gotten off, she started her shift early....." I said text her to see if she left. "I don't have her number, we don't talk regularly" I thought that was weird.

Any girl worth her salt will at least offer to pay for half or go dutch "always" no exceptions

When a woman I'm dating reaches for the check a voice says the following "She doesn't know her own self-worth, has no self-respect and does not believe she should be courted."

 

That isn't a good thing in my book.

Um if you want to split the check and feel it would be a 'complete waste of money' if nothing comes out of it, then obviously you should do so.

Exactly. No girl is going to be offended if you offer to pay. Plenty will if you don't. So as a guy, just cover your bases and offer to pay. It's not worth the fallout otherwise.
