avoforastig Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Usually when I go on a date with a woman I am very attracted to, I feel like I sabotage myself due to an increased level of anxiety. Often, I probably don't act myself. In fact, I probably try to "fake it to make it." I also find it difficult to be humorous in this state, especially on a first date when you know very little about the other person's sense of humor. I tend to be a more reserved person in general, so that doesn't help. Any tips on acting myself/staying positive/humorous when faced with the anxieties of the first date? I actually think I have a reasonably good sense of humor, as I often make others laugh, especially when I'm not trying.
BradJacobs Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Slow your breathing. Get good at asking conversational questions.

IdontPlayanyGames Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Any conversational questions you use to keep things interesting, not boring? My problem is similar. i just dont have a personality period. When i go out with girls from school i counteract this by choosing action filled dates. Bowling, hiking, longboarding, fairs, amusement parks, raves, etc. that way we can have fun without talking.

Is that she woke up this morning and she took a S#!T on the toilet, just like I did. Especially if she's a particularly beautiful woman. Pretend like you've known her your whole life, and she's a childhood friend, that can also work for you to keep your nerve. Just think how nervous she is as well. There you go
