The feeling when a former romantic interest gets a new boyfriend two weeks after she

Yes, I know I should have moved on already.

 

So I go out on 3 dates with this girl over the course of a month. The first two dates went extremely well, and I felt that we had chemistry right away and started really liking her. However, on the third date I guess I screwed up somewhere as she tells me after the date that she doesn't want a relationship with me. Gives me the let's be friends line and I say ok cool let's be friends. No contact for about 2 weeks.

 

Then this past Sunday I try to reach out to her (big mistake). Thinking I could just brush away the feelings, I invite her to church where I will be playing a violin solo. I preface it by saying that I am just reaching out as a friend. She sees the message and doesn't respond.

 

Later in the day, she posts a picture on Facebook of her and her new boyfriend. Upon seeing it I felt extremely disappointed and disgusted and less of a man. It doesn't help that the new guy is bigger than me as well... I felt like she rejected me because I wasn't good enough and got some new guy 2 weeks later. Perhaps she was seeing him during the same time we were, but still. I realized I was lying to myself thinking we could just be friends. I've defriended her and am now in the process of getting over it. But I still feel like ****.

 

I think I need to block her on FB because I just keep looking at her pics anyway. I don't know why I'm torturing myself like this. :\

If it makes you feel any better, thank god that you didn't give her anymore insight into the great qualities you have within you.
