Mr Spock Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Yeah. That's the way UFC. Kind of girl that's more interested in the idea of someone being interested than she actually is in the person. I'm sure you could have a whole fake relationship with her based soley on talking at work. Like one of those 8 year olds that just decide one day that they're "dating"

I wouldn't consider it a loss, if it happened to me. I wouldn't worry about her getting the best out of me, unless I was in some kind of competition wth her. To me, being interested in a woman does not instantly make her my nemesis. And I would lose interest in her if she did this to me. Immature people get hung up wanting what they can't have. Mature people only want what is worth having. I think she's proven that she's not worth having, due to immaturity, rudeness, general bitchiness, etc. Someday she could turn out to be worth having, but not now.

Perhaps he just wanted to vent and get it off his chest. Sometimes things happen that just piss us off and we want nothing more then to rant about it. It happens. If Kevin says that he doesn't care about this girl anymore, then I for one believe him.
alphamale Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Originally posted by kit4kat If Kevin says that he doesn't care about this girl anymore, then I for one believe him. I don't believe it cause i know what men are like and cause i am no longer naive and i know much more about the way people are than i did 15 yrs ago.
tokyo Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 I thought you were going to move back to Florida in order to be close to this girl that you like? How come you are still looking for other dates?
dyermaker Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Originally posted by alphamale it is a loss cause she got the best of him. She got nothing. You give women way too much credit. It's nothing special. in addition, now UCFKevin will be interested in her even MORE cause she blew him off. He's perfectly capable of articulating his choice in women. He wants one who isn't playing manipulative games. it is hard to get away from human nature, you know....wanting what u cannot have. It happens to most--maturity, I believe it's called. If Kevin were to pursue this girl, that would be stupid.

That's funny. Being old does not be default make you wise. A wise person wouldn't say a silly and irrelevant statement like yours. Actually, all of your responses to UCFKevin sounds like your speaking for yourself. Maybe some personal experience that you had with a girl. But the diffrence is that you took it personally while UCFKevin did not and could care less about the girl, as he stated. This irks you for some reason and you can't accept UCFKevins answer. Are you still hurting from your episode? Like Dyermaker said, you put way too much emphases on women. You use the cocky and funny method but you haven't learned how to equally balance both.

Huntr777 Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 All I have to say is screw that girl, she stands you up and then turns the whole thing around on you? She probably twisted the story around to everybody else and make you look like the bad guy. And as for that lame ass "my mom took my phone away" BS, don't believe it for a second. I'm sure her family has a land line she could have called you on. Totally disrespectful on her part, tell her to grow up. Don't worry, she'll end up screwing herself sooner or later. In the meantime, don't date anybody you work with, bad move all around I think. (Although I must admit, there was one girl I used to work with that, good idea or not, I would have dated her in second...) Hunter
Author UCFKevin Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 Well, I dunno, I don't wanna tell her to grow up, I want to take the high road and just get on with my normal business. Although it would be convenient if she asked me if we could try again, 'cuz then I'd say, "Ahhh, no. I don't think so. You're too young and immature for me." Alpha, I hope I'm not as angsty and bitter as you when I'm 39.
alphamale Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 Originally posted by UCFKevin Alpha, I hope I'm not as angsty and bitter as you when I'm 39. this was a good learning experience for you UCFKevin. You'll be learning a LOT more over the rest of your life. It's fun actually.
Author UCFKevin Posted February 8, 2005 Author Posted February 8, 2005 Oh, believe me, I know. I laugh about this sort of stuff all the time. That's all I can do. I can't let it get to me or I WILL become bitter and angsty.
