topaMAXX Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I always joked with "Nice" Guys and men who were not so swift with ladies that I could pick up women on my sisters pink bicycle. Even though I meant it as joke as to get them to start actually asking women out instead of complaining about it... I wasn't far off apparently. The younger generations scare me. They are going to be running the country in the not to distant future. Only thing is OP is not part of younger generation. She's almost middle aged. So her generation IS running this country. Based on our current economic situation, it makes sense...
letmoc Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I don't think he gave you a pickup line the first time.
MissBee Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Ahh...why would you want to continue seeing him???? How is riding around in his work truck on his off hours and sightseeing a "proper date"??? I'm sorry...I truly don't mean to sound harsh but your standards for what a date is and what to be excited about seem kind of low. This man took you for a free ride and all he has to do now is take you for another literal one and you're all excited? I would tell him I'm not riding around in his truck to "sight see"...what is there to sight see anyway? Aren't you from wherever he'll be driving? Even if he offered to take me out elsewhere I still wouldn't go but at the least you could have him take you to dinner. Your dates are still essentially in private which makes me think he is seeing many other women and thus has no interest in taking you out publicly. If I were you I would leave him in the dust and move forward.
Zahara Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I'm still trying to get over a 37 year old woman jumping over the moon because she gets to ride in a UPS truck on her date. 4

It's quite clear that Febreze has very low self-esteem, which is crazy considering that she is a nurse, claims to cook well, give back rubs, and just caters to her men all around. My only guess is that she's approaching 40 and still hasn't found the one, so any attention from a younger hunk has her feeling giddy. It's sad, if you really think about it, because NYC is full of these types, and I used to find them day and night frequenting bars and lounges waiting to be picked up for a rendezvous by younger bad boys. 1
GemmaUK Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I saw a UPS truck today and gazed wistfully at it.....the driver didn't ask me on a date though...*sigh* *sticks bottom lip out and whimpers a little*.
