Anyone from LS read this book yet?

I enjoy reading in my spare time and noticed this book at the bookstore today. It caught my eye because learning how to communicate with other men/women seems like a really good and neat thing. Also it'd be nice to know so I could treat my future partner better!

How'd you enjoy the book or what are your thoughts on it if anyone on LS has read it?

I've read about the first two "chapters" so far and it's interesting to me at least.

I've read it. It offers a useful perspective on a lot of different situations, and some generalisations that are fairly accurate, as far as generalisations can be.

The parts about communication are particularly useful. Not everyone you meet is good at that, and being better able to make yourself understood and understand others is always desirable.

When I read it I saw some sense in it. It seemed interesting.

Now, though, I set no store by it. I choose to view people as people and not gender-specific. There may be traits that are more prevalent in one than the other but there's also a lot of instances where the rule doesn't follow. My husband and I fit together well as a jigsaw but we don't follow the traditional roles/traits.

Thank you both for your responses!

I believe it is true where there are some instances that the rules don't apply, or some of the "traits" in this book are found in people of the other gender making it a mix.

Learning to better myself at communication in relationships (and friendships) is something that sounds really appealing to me right now so I would love suggestions to books with this topic in mind if there are any. I will continue to read the whole book though, I was just curious if LS has read it and their thoughts/opinions.

I read it. I thought it was the biggest load of BS. If I believed the book, rather than the evidence of my own genitalia, I'd be a man.
