Madame_Scarlett Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 So I met this guy who lives out of state on a social networking site (not a dating site) and developed my first Internet crush on him through reading his posts. We started messaging each other privately and I guess he could tell I liked him because he gave me his number and told me to call or text him. So me being very shy, I chose to text him and we hit it off and texted each other daily for about a week with our conversations lasting several hours. One night I had a bad night with some family drama and misunderstood something he said. A couple of days later I messaged him on the site and explained a bit and apologized and we started joking around like we always do. Then he disappeared for a couple of days, made a one-sentence comment through the site, then disappeared again, made another comment, etc. He is friendly but distant, no longer flirting with me, asking how I am or texting me. The last message I received was a week ago and he was the last one to say something. I felt he was no longer interested so I stopped initiating. The thing is, I know he's going through a hard time right now. Should I regard his behavior as expressed disinterest by not contacting him or should I reach out and check on him? Did he friend zone me because of my family drama? I don't have much experience with dating and am left with questions, please help!
David87 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Did you met or just chit chat online? It doesn't matter, don't contact him.
