I've always thought Clooney was a latent homosexual.:D

When a guy really likes a woman, he doesn't push for sex. He is respectful. Butler and the Italian model spent nearly twelve hours together when they first met, talking and laughing and having fun. Nothing physical, not even kissing which surprised me. She left town the next day and three days later he surprised her in Italy. She didn't make it easy for him. He made the effort and demonstrated his feelings by flying to her. Actions speak louder than words. Too many women on LS whine, "but he said blah blah."

Butler is used to women throwing themselves at him and getting easy sex. Howard Stern was teasing him about being a lucky guy, but Butler said that sort of thing gets old and he wanted something more (don't remember his exact words). Someone on another thread compared easy sex vs a committed relationship to tapas vs a gourmet meal. That is what Butler is essentially saying. I was pleasantly surprised by this dialogue. Mr B isn't quite the scumbag I thought he was!

So a player will stop playing when he finds a woman he really likes as a person, not an easy lay. Unfortunately, in Butler's case he has also said elsewhere that his career comes first before any woman. That's why you should never date actors!

Babs is patting himself on the back for saying "lets Pause" two times with his current woman when he saw we were getting too close to sex too soon. I waited for her to say "I'm ready".

RedRobin will attack me for "playing her" though

I checked out his bio on Imdb... He fits the profile of the typical, emotionally unavailable player guy...

Abandoned by his father at a young age.

He's going down the pathetic George Clooney path...

Oh god, really. You researched this man, and already put him into one of your buckets becasue he was "abondoned by his father" and fits' one of your "profiles". Please show me one person. male or female, in our age range, who did not have some sort of dysfunction in their family, growing up. When you find him, marry him quickly. If you find her, send her my way.

Haha. Yes, until they realize that no one knows their name, still, and how retarded they look standing next to him at the photo ops.

You wonder how many of them do the face palm later on.... I slept with THAT... And for what??? Lol

Yeah, another poor, weak, meek dysfunctiaonla young woman being persued by an older man, she had no control, could not make a decision for herself. So sad.

I hope Gerard took a look at that interview and did some reflection on his life and the direction he's headed.

Or better yet, have a sit down with you, so you can set him straight. Poor man.

lol, Funny. It takes two seconds to read an IMdb bio. I don't call that research.

Yes, world is full of people who are his age and still using sex as self-medication instead of dealing with their issues. Guys just get away with it for longer.

In between questions, he looks sad. Not sad, pathetic. But just sad. That momentary look of um, surprise?, horror? not sure which when he's being compared to Clooney and Martin. Priceless. It is obvious he didn't really see himself like 'that'. tsk. tsk.

I imagine he knows his life is passing him by, and this is the best he can do. Convincing the world it is all ok because of who he happens to be sleeping with this week or month... and what she looks like.

It's too bad... and really, I don't find him attractive. Not at all.

You will never see Bill Gates on there, or Meryl Streep, or....

One wonders what their agents are telling these other folks. I MIGHT see someone conservative going on there to sex up their image a little... much like appearing on the cover of Maxim or something. Still seems like scraping the bottom of the barrel a little to me.

You have to hand it to Howard. He is good at bringing out their inner narcissist or making them squirm. I hope Gerard took a look at that interview and did some reflection on his life and the direction he's headed.

How about Anderson Cooper? Barbara Walters? Dan Rather? Francis Ford Coppola? Lady Gaga? Courtney Cox? Harvey Weinstein? Hugh Jackman? Publicists love him because as you said he's good at bringing out more honesty in well known people than you're used to and that often makes headlines. Which is the whole goal if they're on the circuit trying to promote something.

It's a shame Streep wouldn't go on, you would probably get a pretty honest and intimate portrait of her. She's such a private person about a lot of stuff and you don't often see that. It's really just all about the honesty. How can that be low class? Like Gerard or not, at least he gave an honest picture of himself.

You are not? So Mr.s 3 date doer is not leaning on you to help improve himself, because he could not do it before he met you? Hmmmm...

No, you are a counselor, a therapist, the one who knows exactly how men work and how relationships work. You know right from wrong like no other. You have all the right answers, and even all the wrong ones. You see "dysfunctional" as a disease. I think a few minutes with you would shape him right up!

I dunno, man...

I gave up on listening to H.S. years ago, I dont know if I just grew out of it or ??

I think a lot of the guests get disingenuous when they appear on his show-mainly because a lot of people dont take him that seriously....Then the whole thing winds up being more schtick than reality....but what the hell do I know..??...

It's so sad he is a player, as all of his male friends will now end their friendships with him, since they will be seen as enablers to his playing lifestyle (according to a few LSers). So now he is a documented, in the books, on the record, player, and will have no friends.

We should be able to do an online search to see if players live close to us, to make better decisions when buying a new home and deciding where to live.

There are definitely a few that aren't that honest. I wasn't really impressed with Jonah Hill. He struck me as very fake. But Stern still gets that honesty sometimes, like when he got Hugh Heffners much younger now wife to admit she's only had sex with him one time for 5 seconds and finds him gross like that. Red probably would have liked that interview. :p

How Heffner went on to marry her after she said that publicly I don't know, but it sure gives you insight into people.

Oh and Red, I forgot Paul McCartney. He must be considered on the level with Meryl Streep right? Stops by a lot when he's in New York.

I want to see Howard, interview Red..that would be, interesting.

I have not watched him in years. He started getting on my nerves and I did find him to be degrading to woman at times; though the woman allowed it, signed up for it if you will, knowing what he was like.

I have not watched the interview posted on this thread. I need to it seems.

Was thinking the same thing. If she was as honest with him as she is on here it would make fascinating radio.

I was wondering earlier if Fit clicked on the link because it was Gerard Butler or Howard Stern. But she usually doesn't reply if you ask her a question.

Huh? It was both of them. I posted that link.

The only person I hold any regard for in that bunch is Barbara Walters.

Didn't know you were such a fan of Howard stern. Lol

I am, and it was actually the biggest source of strife in one of my relationships. I'd mention something I heard on there occasionally that was interesting and it would start World War 3. :p He's very misunderstood by women.

I know, I just meant what caused you to click on it in the first place. When you were browsing youtube or whatever.

Compared to some things I've found on youtube without even looking, that one is tame!

I used to listen to Howard Stern years ago. Got boring. He is kind of a dweeb, IMHO

Used to watch The Man Show on, what was it? Comedy Central?

I can still hum the trampoline music at the end. ;)

There probably are parts of the country where they congregate. Places where a dog eat dog culture tends to predominate, would be my bet. Whether it is due to a very poor economy or to a super competitive one.

Probably why I never came across one before moving to the NE. When I was growing up in SoCal as a kid, there were elements of that... But I was too young to see those traits demonstrated in a dating atmosphere.

Threads like this make me think I should just be a player. :lmao:

If the jealously wasn't so transparent it would be pure comedy.

Thank you for proving once and for all that women are simply going to hate me for seeing women younger than they are. It seems to be unavoidable.

If you all weren't so judgmental of men maybe you wouldn't be alone.
