Ours was a Match.com blind date. So I was not necessarily attracted in the way I think of it, as I need to have chemistry to feel attracted. But I was impressed by his demeanour, open body language, subtle confidence, and manners. :)

The kind and respectful way that he treated other people.

His 'fro and how he doesn't take shlt from anyone.

Her warm smile in a pretty face, and then the way she moved (martial arts and dance training). That was the first 5 seconds. It just got better from there.

Her Eyes!

That was twenty six years ago, and yesterday I was looking at her thinking, "What gorgeous eyes!" Big, beautiful, blue and expressive....yes, all emotions.

I have never gotten sick of them.

Just that it felt like I'd somehow known him my whole life, though we had only just met. Physically, his clear blue eyes. :)

His forearms. Then he took his shirt off, and, oh my, his back!

My husband is drop dead gorgeous, movie star handsome. He's usually the best looking & best dressed guy in any room.

So I'm superficial . . . .

We met in HS and he seemed like a man compared to all the other boys.

Physically, I noticed his height & broad shoulders. Personality wise, he had a way of being assertive that I found attractive. He spoke up if he felt something was unfair, or if another kid was being jerk. Also, I was attracted to his individuality. In gym class, I thought it was cute that he never wore socks with his tennis shoes.

How nervous he was. It was cute. And then his quick witted humor. He kept me smiling all night.

His sense of humor and his dance moves. He was twirling me and dipping me all night. What a turn on :)

The eruditeness of being knowledgable on so many vast subjects.

Literally, when we started texting, he was traveling and told me he was reading Gaius Musonius Rufus (a Roman philosopher).

My heart melted...

Haha, I was 15, our headmistress brought her into our class after register, I was more interested in the sports pages of the free metro newspaper, then I looked up and damn - one look in the brightest green I'd ever seen and I was a gonner!:o

She was sporting her trademark half smirk, I never told her this to this day but I nudged my best mate and told him 'right there - she's gonna be my gf'

....hahah five years later and I was right :laugh:

The first time I saw her, in August of 1980, she was wearing a bikini. Holy crap.

I wish I could say something more noble or romantic about the first thing I liked about her, but I'd be lying my ass off.

Emotional stability. She (exW) looked a lot like Valerie Bertinelli so was cute in that way but her level demeanor was the first thing I really liked about her. It emerged at our first meeting, a lunch 'date', as she was a good bit late.
