Should I be concerned, or am I worrying about something silly?

This is my first time here, so please be gentle

 

I have been seeing my girlfriend for about a year and a half, and up until recently, everything was great. For the past two weeks though, I have noticed that every time I tell her that I love her, she just says "me too", or she blows it off.

 

She recently started a job that involves working a lot of hours (10-12 per day average), and she is tired a lot because of it; could the fact that she doesn't tell me she loves me anymore be due from exhaustion, or could there be a deeper problem?

 

In the past, she would always tell me she loves me when I told her, so now it is really bugging me that she doesn't say it anymore. I was just curious how the ladies here feel - should tell her how I feel, or would it just make me look insecure, and make things worse?

I would go to her and ask her. If there is a problem this may open up the lines of communication.

If you've been seeing your girlfriend for a year and a half I don't think you should worry about looking insecure. Personally, I would also think something were amiss if suddenly my boyfriend stopped saying he loved me. Considering it's only been two weeks and she's started a new job, I would give it some more time to see if it's just a temporary thing. With Valentine's coming up, it will be a good time to share some romance with her and see how she responds. If she still isn't verbally expressing her love for you, then I would just ask her if something is wrong. Explain that you've noticed the change and you are concerned.
