voxzorz Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Hi, I've been in a long distance-relationship for a LONG time, and I don't really know about her, but I think we've fallen out of love with each other. It doesn't help that she is asexual (or at least thinks that she's asexual). We almost never see each other and it's very difficult for us to talk because she never answers her phone (although this is not the main reason for the difficulties). A few days ago I confessed to someone else that I liked them, but didn't want to go out until I had ended the relationship I have now. Me and the original girl are supposed to go camping in about a month. I would like some advice mostly as to what I should do in general, also if I decide to break up with her (which I pretty much have), should I do it over the phone, or wait until the camping trip, which would be in person, but we'd be together for a few days. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. If you feel that the relationship is over, why go on the camping trip? No, you end it sooner than later. You say that "we've" fallen out of love...is it WE or YOU? Either way, she deserves to know sooner than later and not on a camping trip. Call her to change plans for a short meeting or tell her over the phone.
d0nnivain Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Call up your GF. Tell her this isn't working for you. You are very sorry. You wish her well & you move on. Don't go into too many details. Just end it.
LittleTiger Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Skype is the best way. If you don't Skype then phone her. Definitely don't go away on a trip with her - that will not go well at all!
HeavenOrHell Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Like the others have said, dont go on the camping trip, what would be the point? I admire you wanting to do things the right way, but there is no easy way to split up, meeting up to break up would be awful. Maybe it's clear to her already that you've split up really, maybe it will be a relief if you actually say it and end it properly. Your r/ship does sound pretty impossible. I can see why you would develop feelings for someone else. If my LD bf was breaking up with me I wouldn't want him to do it during a visit if he knew ahead of time he was going to do that. I would prefer email actually, but that's just me, if he called me I'd probably be tearful and I don't want that, too much pride. Wishing you all the best.
