TylerDurdenn Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 My ex owes me money. She has paid me back each month without any issues at all and at the moment everything is fine. She doesn't know about my new gf, as it's none of her business and I do not want any disruption in the monthly repayments. Ex has recently been trying hard to get me back, and the more I politely let her down the harder she seems to try and get me back.. I just want to be civil with her, she still has 10 monthly repayments to make to me.. I have asked her if she could pay it back sooner somehow but it isn't possible (I know her finances and she isn't lying). Best way to handle the situation keeping all parties happy?
mammasita Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Do you have anything in writing saying she owes you money and the agreed payments/amount etc? Other than that you have no recourse if she decides to stop paying.

mammasita Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Yes we have a contract. Well since you have a contract, keep doing what your doing. I got the sense that you were afraid if she found out about your new GF the ex would stop paying. At the same time, since you do have a contract, you can't really get her to pay sooner unless she simply feels like doing so. You have no worries otherwise since you have a contract, assuming it's legally binding.
