I just wanted to share a recent experience with a girl that is, as the title of this thread says, like crack to me and ask you to share similar stories about guys/gals (if you have them) and kindly ask how you deal with the situation. Here's the deal: Met girl 1 year ago and went on 3 dates with her within 2 weeks. We got to the make-out stage. Then she falls off my radar because she's too busy to have date 4 within the next 2 weeks and I forget about her. Fast-forward 4 months - she texts me out of no-where inviting me to go salsa dance. I'm like - sure and let's tack drinks on to that. We do that, end up in my place and have pretty awesome sex before we part. Might I add that this chick has an amazing body AND she has this air of "completely ****ing nuts" combined with a hint of "unapproachable" (meaning that she plays the teasing game prior to sex - i.e. kissing, pulling away, more kissing, pulling away, etc. to dial up the excitement). Fast-forward another month - we stay in touch but only loosely. Then I ask her to come to one of my events that I organize with a non-profit. She does, we have fun, end up in my place and **** again. This time around she even stays over. Now - dont get me wrong - I'm fully aware of the fact that this is just random sex and that there are no feelings involved given that we barely communicate in between ****s and that we part pretty quickly after the deed is done (this past weekend, she jumped out of bed in the morning, threw on her clothes and "fled the scene" within 10 minutes...). Also - I have no emotional interest in this woman since she is completely ****ing nuts in many other aspects of her life (would take too long to explain here). BUT - I find myself oddly attracted to and thinking about her which is weird to me because it usually does not happen.... So - here's my question: Has something like this happened to anyone before and how do you expect this odd attraction given that it is clear that there's no way in hell for anything serious to come out of this...

Seems normal. By hooking up few and far between, the mystery still lingers. I bet if you dated her frequently, the luster would fade. Seems like you have a nice setup going with her atm.

You're playing with fire here. You call her completely effing nuts. That should be all you need to know that this just isn't the best idea. If she's too nuts to date, she should be too nuts to bang.
Valen Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 I have met a few of these types. They're usually very promiscuous. Most of not all ends up becoming single mothers, then eventually when they hit their 30s they settle down and marry a guy who can financially support them.

She's not harassing you or contacting you all the time asking you to be with her. IF and when she does, then worry about it. Otherwise and until then, just please practice safe sex. 1
Author Atem Posted April 21, 2014 Author Posted April 21, 2014 Thanks to Valen and deathandtaxes for your input. I get your points completely regarding being careful with this one. The only thing I'd like to get rid of is the "thinking about her" part. Maybe this is because the last time is relatively fresh but I do think about her several times a day... As for the other commenters - this has nothing to do with ego. I'm a young guy with a good management job and I'm starting an exec. MBA program right now which will take up a ton of time and focus. Thus, I don't have time to "fall" for a chick anytime soon. That said, thinking about a woman several times each day for several days after my last contact with her is annoyingly distracting to me (esp. since this does NOT happen with other women I sleep with...). So, my point here is to find out whether I'm just an idiot for apparently somewhat liking this girl (despite knowing that she's nuts) or whether this happens to others as well - and if it does, how to best deal with it (i.e. cut her off entirely or keep having fun from time to time). PS: Not sure how the title mis-led some of you but if you were hoping for a raunchy drug story here - sorry to disappoint

It's not about her harassing/chasing me - it's about me apparently being into her I just find it weird that this happens for the second time now with the same girl and not with several others with whom I've slept over the past few months/years. That's all - no ego stroking here.

This belies your statement about being emotionally invested with this one. You think about her all the time, you can't wait until the next time, etc. So do you want something, or not? 1
