itstough Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 I need help in figuring this out. I am going to ask her out, but I always like to know if I am reading things right or I am crazy. This Woman works with me for close to a year now. We always ordered food together and that is about our on interaction. I kind of liked her but never really acted on it. Then one day I was looking at another woman and jokingly said "Hi there" she then asked who I was looking at. This other co-worker was around said "Oh she is jealous that you looked at someone else." she didn't respond to that comment. This got my rusty wheels spinning. Well somebody decided to play match maker and tell her that I liked her. She just said "aw" and they start talking about something else. Shortly after she texts me and asks me where I was. I answered her and she came and asked me a question. She then stared into my eyes and I got that warm fuzzy feeling :-) When I went home for the day she texted me to ask me random question about work. I thought wow she is trying to find ways to get in contact with me. We continued just seeing each other at work. I noticed it is very hard to get her to have any kind of conversation. She just kind of teases me and that is about all the stuff she does when she talks to me. If I am sitting in the room with her she will be playing with her phone the whole time. When I am speaking to other she seems to be listening because she will laugh when I say something funny. What is up with her?
deathandtaxes Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 She sounds a bit passive. Best advice - forget it. Work romances can go pear-shaped in ways you cannot forsee. Just enjoy the casual lunch and chat. It's always good to have friends. Don't screw it up by trying to date.
