haha. I hate the ageism. I'm also struggling with no-contact at the moment, and hearing people say, that it is just something young people struggle with made me sad. I don't exactly consider myself young (28) and whenever I do hear from my ex, it does send me into a bit of a tailspin. So I went into no-contact mode. I fought it for awhile. I felt so PATHETIC that I had to resort to no-contact. But each day feels slightly more hopeful.

You're not pathetic. You're normal. And you did the right thing by going NC. It's meant to heal you and each day you'll be healed a little more.

Just don't send her a text on her birthday. Or you'll catch dookie from everyone on this site, young or old.

In what concerns love, there are no old or young age, we all fall under the magical torment that love is... and everybody struggles when a break up beats with its cold and demonic fist...

What You lose said is that young people have a more difficult time when dealing with ruptures, because it is the time of first relationships... nothing to get confused there...

I knock on wood, he he, but I think I am better now to handle another serious break up since I've had my share of them...

And I understand the part about feeling pathetic. Maybe it is, but not more than still talking to the ex...

but having that conversation/attempting to clown her took away from that point.

LOL!! You used clown as a verb... That puts me in the 'way back' machine
