Eternal Sunshine Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 So I am moving states in 2 weeks and I met a cool guy last night. He wants to have dinner and normally I would be happy to but: 1. I am moving 2. I am busy as hell with arrangements, packing, still working and spending any free time with friends and family 3. He is cute but he is a stranger and it's not like I was "blown away" on first sight I am leaning towards telling him no and not making myself any more busy and stressed than I already am.
mammasita Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No, I wouldn't. If you're not "blown away", what's the point?
pyramid Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No, I wouldn't. If you're not "blown away", what's the point? Agreed. If it's a mediocre date, then it's a waste of time. If it's an amazing date, it can't go anywhere anyway.
J21 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 No I wouldn't bother. Save the poor guy some time/money/effort especially since it wasn't really all that for you. 1
FitChick Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Moving will open up a whole new dating pool for you. And you won't need to resort to OLD. When you spot a cute guy (look for a wedding ring first), walk up to him and ask directions adding, "I just moved here and I don't know where anything is. I'm always getting lost!" Damsel in distress. That is the perfect opening for him, if he's attracted, to offer to show you around.
