irc333 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Okay, there's this woman I actually know in real life, not personal. She's lived in my area quite some time. I actually know her through a friend of mine from way back. She's been on dating sites across the board, and has lived in this small backwater town for a good while. Apparently, it appears she has a lot of friends....male friends from her Facebook photos. These guys aren't that bad looking either, which kind of puzzles me as she's been a prominent fixture with online dating sites. Recently, her Facebook status has her showing how sick (with a cold or flu or something) and has been so for the past week. Then she states, "Thank heavens I have all my guys friends to keep me company and cheer me up while I'm sick". Notice she emphasizes the gender of the kind of friends that have been keeping her company. Tons of orbiters? Tons of men she's friend zoned through out the years? No female friends to keep her company? (or a mix?) Think she just likes the attention as opposed to a real relationship (regardless if she says she wants one?)

"Thank heavens I have all my guys friends dont know if this is a mistake, but you wrote "my guys" friends which signifies she is in a relationship and she is talking about her guy and his friends...... If it is a mistake...it is not uncommon for females and males to have many opposite sex friends on facebook another poster in another thread said about social media they are contacts sometimes not "real friends" she could be talking about two "real" male friends and half a dozen contacts........ i dont understand a lot of peoples facebook need to express a lot of things....like i just ate soup...or my poo was green or i have a snotty nose and i dont understand her post......because it isn't something i would post i would say so glad for my friends being here...not distinguish who they were....even then it would be unlikely i would post that i would say ......it directly to them to make sure they knew i appreciated them one on one face to face...... as far as attention goes....her comment is a bit askew...doesn't necessarily mean she is an attention whore.......i have quite a few male friends.......i have a few close female friends who are long term buddies and i keep my friends......so i am not an attention whore chances are she might not be too.......deb
Author irc333 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Yeah it was a mistake...it was "guy" singular. My bad. dont know if this is a mistake, but you wrote "my guys" friends which signifies she is in a relationship and she is talking about her guy and his friends...... Author irc333 Posted April 19, 2014 Author Posted April 19, 2014 Well, she posts a lot of "posed" photos of herself than most regular photos of other people. Bikini's, her arching her back on a Harley Davidson, etc. Her photos exude, "look at me, look at me!" Basically you see more pictures of her than pictures of other people. Sometimes she'll take selfy pics of her with strange men she just met in bars when out of town. "This is my new friend, Bob!" She has "friends" that aren't really friends. Is a social butterfly with no real concrete buddies. I'm sure at least ONE of her male friends wants something more from her. I just find it odd she has a dating profile up, when she could be dating one of these guy friends. An over abundance of selfies is kind of a turn off, too. dont know if this is a mistake, but you wrote "my guys" friends which signifies she is in a relationship and she is talking about her guy and his friends...... Do_The_Herp Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Sounds like an insecure person who obviously trolls for attention and uses facebook to try to seem more popular and busy than she probably is, and uses whomever shows real interest in her and is stupid enough to stick around. Pretty transparent though, if you ask me. This is just one person, though. Why focus on them? There will always be idiots like this. You have to just ignore them, and not feed into their bull****. It's that simple.
