tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I know of a website that's running an awesome V-Day special. Like 2 dozen roses for $39.99. Delivery for V-day. Is this gay? I've sent balloons for his birthday (to his work) but never flowers. Would he like it, hate it? But what if he sends me flowers too? Then we have a bazillion red roses at home? I could say "Please, no flowers for V-Day". He works in a large body shop out at a manufacturing plant, if that gives you any ideas as to where he's at. Tell me whatcha think!
lexnmike4enomore Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I don't think thats a good idea. Your H will be talking to his friends and out of the leather jackets and the big screen TV's he's the one who gets flowers? Get him a 6 pack, NFL's greatest plays on DVD and a love coupon. You cant go wrong!

"Oh, yeah, Bob, ya remember back in '05 when MR.TIKI got 24 red roses delivered?? AHH Aa H AhAH H ah HHAHAHA AH" don't ever send a man flower unless it is his funeral or wedding.
Spira Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 LOL. Well what *are* some good gift ideas, then?
Pocky Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I send my husband food since it's the only thing not "girly" that can be delivered. Plus, he shares it with the office so everyone loves that.
Author tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 I did that for his birthday, I sent cupcakes for everyone. It went over well. I asked him if they made fun of him and he just responded "I don't give a sh*t what they think". He's a true romantic. I don't think he'd mind, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.

DinNJ Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Had an ex that answered the door on Valentines day.... lights were out, she was standing there in a sexy nurses uniform... hat, thighhighs, chest hangin' out everywhere.... candles all over the apartment... dinner was cooked, massage oils were out. Yup, that was a good night... kinda miss her a bit now. LOL And just think, it didn't cost her a dime... well, cept' for the nurses outfit. hmmmm.... maybe I should call her... it's only been a year and half.
li'l bunny Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 V-day is supposed to be a love thing...big presents like tvs and stuff are just crap - that doesn't show you love them. It is difficult though...I got my hubby triple x vouchers, iou type things, oh and some flavoured head gel (what kind of head!!?) Will he like it?
Author tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 Well I've gotten him other gifts, I just really wanted to do this for him too.

savethedrama4allama Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Maybe just have them sent to him at home? Or does this miss the whole point?
Author tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 Originally posted by savethedrama4yrmama Maybe just have them sent to him at home? Or does this miss the whole point? I don't know, doesn't it, kinda?
savethedrama4allama Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Yeah, sorta. I bet the "guys" wouldn't scoff at the flowers if you included a sexy message about what you're going to do to him that night. They'd be jealous.
Moose Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Last year, Mrs. Moose snuck in a helium heart balloon tied to a gift box with a pair of black silk boxers with red lips printed all over them. The card was sexy......but the guys wouldn't let me live down the boxers for months! I still have the, "lil' devil", stuffed animal in my office. That's the first time she's ever pulled anything like that!
Author tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 So moose, if you got 24 red roses at your work, would you consider it embarrassing or crappy?
Artifact Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Well, I think the roses are a great idea. Your hubby may enjoy getting something a little different at work. He can enjoy that his wife was thinking of him, picked a romantic flower, and, yeah, included a sexy/sweet note.
Merin Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 I thought about doing this too Tiki.. BUT My BF works in a garage.. and uh there was this one time he was showing my daughter how his cell phone has an animated picture of a panda bear walking.. he didn't take it off his phone and one of the guys went past saw his phone on his tool box, picked it up and said "Oh look, Josh has a cute little bear on his phone" LOL needless to say he took the picture off his phone, refused to ever put it back on there.. SOOOO I'm thinking sending him flowers wouldn't be such a good idea? Now, a big cake that you jump out of maybe..
Moose Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Originally posted by tiki So moose, if you got 24 red roses at your work, would you consider it embarrassing or crappy? I think that even if it's an embarrassing moment, it's just a moment. I would consider it thoughtful and loving, and wouldn't care what other people thought. As a matter of fact, I'd probably rub it in that I don't see anything for them..............
Author tiki Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 See, he's such the romantic type. And he never cares what ANYONE has to say. He says "Screw em, if *I* like it, that's all that matters, who cares what they think". And I'm thinking that he'd love the flowers, just like the balloons. And he said no one had ever done that for him. And that's a really good deal. It goes off special Friday. But I was thinking, of having them put one white rose in there and saying something cheesey about being one in a million....but I guess I should just go for sexy since his buds will be houndin' him.
