crazybestie101 Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Known one guy from January, happen to be my neighbour. At first we used to talk for hours like about our life. Slowly became friends , he tried to open up about his life , his past relationship and what he wants in future and also I did same. Our understanding about our friendship got deeper. We were shy at first but now openly confessed our friendship and understanding. We started hanging out together at night such as going on walk , meeting up in apartment complex. There were instances where he was really busy he still took effort to pick my phone and talk to me and listen all crap i have to say. Everything seemed happy and cool. We know indirectly we like each other. One day i invited him to lunch at my place , he was happy at first but then he said leave it for now. Even we made plan for little road trip while back , he said he will come with me any where . When i talk to him now he just said " No , please". So unusual of him he never ignored my messaged , now he reads it but never replies . He only told me he is in different state of mind and he doesnt want to tell anybody about it . All i know he has been going to rough times in his career, been rejected for work from long times and he is loosing hope.. May be this might be reason why he is driftting apart from me ??? I tried to ask him 3 times in 2 weeks , he didnt say anything , so i gave up on him, left him alone by saying " message me when you want to talk openly" What do you guys think ?

OP, I think you did the right thing. Don't try to chase after him or hound him repeatedly about it it will just drive him further away and make you look desperate. You told him when he's ready to talk again, you're ready, and if he never replies or doesn't for a while, I would give up on him. Maybe set a time limit for yourself like if after one week he hasn't gotten back to me, I will write him off for good. 2

What i meant there is to say we actually made each other feel that yes we are close friends despite the length of time we have knows each other. Yeah true , i wrote him off 2 days back , he read it but never replied so i gave up. Honestly , i am little pissed of by his "ignoring" behavior never thought he would do such coward act but oh well. I left him alone , wouldn't write him until he write me first!!

Chances of him seeing someone else are very slim as far as i know and ummm old flame coming back , i am kinda thinking about it too. During our conversation whenever it came something about our past, we always remind each other that we are moving on from our past and starting something new , possibaly with each other.. Whenever i used to talk about our ex he used to get mad at me and told me to forget my ex and he is never coming back and i am about to start something new. So chances of him getting back with his ex rules out too but idk . If he does want to get back with his ex , sure he can. I wish him luck!!

Well i messaged him today and he replied to me. He was kinda rude with all excuses. He told me how he is so stressed out with lot of things in his life. He is busy studying and learning new things. he even said how he doesnt get time to talk to his parents and how he hasnt talk to his best friend in months. WOW , before he was happy and willing to give me all time now he is telling me all this ... Sounds like my ex when he wanted to end our dating. Oh well, it kept coming back to my mind entire day today , like so unusual of him. So i just wrote him off like Whatever it is , lets just end this here. I wish you luck with everything , dont stress out a lot , you will be fine with time. Honestly , at least today once i broke into tears in library thinking about this. idk about dating but i was really hoping to be close friends with this guy, felt like i finally found friend i can share my life with and trust him but its gone.. Do you guys think i did something right?
