bobsmith76 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 There's this girl who's coming to the writer's group thursday and i've read her stuff and she's got real talent!!! She hasn't mentioned any boyfriend or husband anywhere on any of her sites so she just might be single!!! I am deep in love!!! We haven't spoken yet or met yet, but i've got a real strong feeling about this one!!! I can already hear wedding bells!!! I've got the church picked out, my tux and everything!!!

Please be aware that there's no neccessity to disclose one's relationship status on a site dedicated to a work/creative outlet. So just because she didn't say it, doesn't mean it ain't so. I wouldn't lead with the wedding bells though. Maybe "hi" is a less...creepy start.

isisisweeping Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Not creepy at all Except the post reads very tongue in cheek. I laughed. 1
soccerrprp Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Yeah, baby, who needs TIME and FACE TO FACE CONTACT to get to know someone??!! 2
isisisweeping Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Yeah, baby, who needs TIME and FACE TO FACE CONTACT to get to know someone??!! Those things just ruin it, more often than not! 1
MidwestUSA Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Except the post reads very tongue in cheek. I laughed. Nope, it's not tongue in cheek at all. I'm awaiting my invite. Face to face? Highly overrated. 1
Author bobsmith76 Posted April 13, 2014 Author Posted April 13, 2014 Update: I sent her email at 4am EST (I work nightshift). I read this story she wrote and made comments on it, all of them positive. It's 6pm EST now and she still hasn't responded. I'm getting worried.
CarrieT Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Except the post reads very tongue in cheek. I laughed. Read the OP's history. This is not tongue-in-cheek at all... 2

Hopefully she'll reply tomorrow before 5. Good luck
Author bobsmith76 Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 It's been 3 days since I sent her an email through Facebook and she hasn't responded. We'll see how things go Thursday when I get to meet her but I'm guessing she's not single. Only 15% of women between the ages of 30 and 35 are single and this was confirmed by checking Facebook status, so the odds that she's single are against me. Plus, I don't go after women who are in a relationship.

Or do you mean 15% of the women you know between the ages of 30 and 35, who also happen to be on Facebook, are single? What is the sample size?

iris219 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 What happened with the one you found online and fell in love with last month? How was that date? You should try to reel in your excitement until you actually meet someone in person. You're setting yourself up for disappointment.
MidwestUSA Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 What happened with the one you found online and fell in love with last month? How was that date? She wasn't '!!!THE ONE!!!'.
slizl Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I have to admit, I love reading this guys posts. Even if it is unlikely that they are true, I get a kick out of reading the nightmare that ensues.
Author bobsmith76 Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 What happened with the one you found online and fell in love with last month? How was that date? I stated in the thread how the date went. She misrepresented herself somewhat. She turned out to be Peruvian-born. I really want a girl who's native language is English but it's not absolutely necessary. We didn't click all that well. You should try to reel in your excitement until you actually meet someone in person. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. I think you might be right.
Author bobsmith76 Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 Ok, she didn't show up at the poetry reading today. Hopefully, it's not because of the email I sent her. I sent her the email through Facebook and it was her business facebook page. She has a photography business. Who doesn't check their Facebook email? Almost no one. Still, there's a non-zero percent chance that she never got my email. So I'll try sending the email to her other address but the odds are very slim that we are destined.
