Wisecrack Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Last couple weeks at work (we work in the same shopping centre; typical student job), the flirting has intensified and we've alluded to us both going out on a date. Kicking myself I did not suck it up and ask her out then and there or just kissed her as I think she wanted it. Now I have a week away from her due to exams and surgery. Should I just be patient and wait til I see her next - just focus on my exams and operation now? Or should I make my own luck and find a way to ask her out in between til I see her next? I guess I worry she will lose interest although every time it has been a while since I've seen her, she will tell me how much she's missed me (I don't text her much even if I have her number). So I can: - pop into where she works (we know where we both work and frequent each others regularly) and have a lousy excuse to buy something and go from there. - ask her to come over to mine as a favour and help be a dummy patient for me to use as a study aid (I'm in the medical profession) -Ask her over the phone (this I do not like as it takes away from it all I think and I'd much rather wait til I properly see her next instead).

I like the dummy patient idea the most. It would be a great way to get some comfortable chill time and then at some point during you could ask her out for a weekend date. A smooth transition.
Author Wisecrack Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 Thanks all, I haven't texted her for eons. Do you think that will change things? At the same time, if I were to not get in contact this week, whats the chances she'd lose interest? Or am I overthinking this and should suck it up and just message her?
