I work in a gas station and I know one regular that comes in all the time to get his lunch. He works as an officer and I often make small talk with him because he's so serious all the time so I try to cheer him up.

Anyways we struck up convo and I was telling him about the new movie I saw and how great it was. Then he smirked at me and said "Oh, so we should see it?"..

He looked right at me when he said that and I got a bit flustered because I don't know if he referred to me and him... He was alone in the store with me because it was graveyard.

What did he mean by we? Was he asking me out or something?

(A couple other things I wanted to add- He comes in like three times each week to take his lunch with a group of other officers and most of the time he comes to the counter.

Seems shy to me/serious most of the time but he always tries to get me to talk by asking me questions... he's not so much into talking about himself for some reason. He'll look me right in the eye and try to maintain eye contact too.

What was odd is that he sometimes parks outside for a long time where he can see me through the window)

Hahaha, yep, he sure did, he obviously likes you, what did you say to him after?

Next time he comes in ask him if he has seen the film yet? Then take it from there.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I never asked men out directly, but sometimes they need a bit of a push....

I didn't catch the "we" part until like five minutes after he said it. Actually, when he said "we" I was thinking he was referring to him and his friends (since they are usually there in the back taking a lunch break) or thought he might have used the wrong term.

I just laughed at him and replied "Well yea, you should see it." I'm a bit slow I guess.... We talked a bit more and he didn't press on for an answer..

After this happened he ate lunch with the other officers and then came back to the counter saying he forgot to buy something else. At that point he was just staring at me and I asked him his name.

Out of the whole time I've worked there, I've only worn my name tag once. He actually replied back to me, saying my name. I was very surprised he remembered my name. Most customers don't pay attention to that sort of thing.
