robaday Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Been seeing someone for six months. 3 months back my employer told me they werent renewing my contract nor visa. At the time I wasnt that concerned, but Ive been knocked back from a LOT of jobs now and only have 3 months remaining in the country I live in - unless that is I find someone who will sponsor me. Ive been completely straight with her throughout about everything, last thing I want is to mislead someone about my living situation. She was fine with it at first, but as its dragged on, and my confidence has dropped I can tell shes increasingly upset and worried about me leaving. This has led her to become clingy. Im in a weird situation, its never happened to me before where I dont know if Im coming or going - I could get a job next week and everything will be fine between us, but this could drag on for 3 months and then Im on a flight out of here. I dont want to put her though any unecessary pain. I wont lie, it has made me cut back on spending, and doing all the nice things I would normally do for someone as I have to cover my ass if Im unemployed in 3 months and having to leave country. I dont know what to do..............shes a cool girl and I can see shes upset everytimes I see her.......added to this all her friends are settling down and I feel insubstantial due to insecure residency status........
