katt6360 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Hi there, I am looking for advice about the fact that my boyfriend watches a lot of porn with women who look nothing like me. I love my boyfriend very much. We have been dating for 10 months now, and we have sex almost every time we see each other (I live in a different city for school, but come home almost every weekend). I don't mind that he watches porn in general, I know it's something we all do, and I'll even watch it with him sometimes. Lately we've been sending each other videos of things that we like or want to try, and I've noticed that he has been sending me a lot of teen videos (I'm 19, he's 25.. so this seems logical). However, the girls in these video are very petite and very skinny! Like 120 lbs tops. And I'm not.. I am more curvy, and weigh about 160 lbs (although I was 150 when we started dating). My weight and body image is something that I have always struggled with since about age 12. Lately I am feeling very self-conscious, and am concerned that my boyfriend may not find my body attractive. So my question is, should I be worried that my boyfriend watches a lot of porn with girls who are a good 40-50 lbs lighter than me? Like I said, I love my boyfriend. I don't doubt that he loves me either, but I am feeling somewhat discouraged, and I find myself questioning if I look the way that he wants me too. Thanks for the help! Katt
AnneT1985 Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 If your boyfriend didn't find you attractive he likely wouldn't be dating you- so rest assured I am convinced he does. The actresses are simply the product of a marketing industry based on cosmetically enhanced physicality- so please keep in mind that in that sense it just is what it is. However if his porn habit in general bothers you, this is definitely something to discuss amongst yourselves. Please be easy on and kind to yourself xx
Keenly Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Strike it from your thoughts. You know why he is sending you these videos? The porn industry is made up of largely these categories and body types. Do not let your insecurities project onto him as false feelings of non-attraction.
