manatwork Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 My girlfriend of 1 year left me last week. She is currently 19 and I'm 25. She is now seeing a 32 year old who has 4 kids. and works a minimum wage job where he only works 20 hours. She said she knows she should be with me because I treat her really good but this guy is a bit of an ******* and she is sort of interested in him for that. I don't get it. She even said he has no potential in life like i do, but she just can not be with me right now She said I'm really nice but at times I can get a bit too attached (which is proably why this guy is interesting to her, since he doesn't give hr attention" I just don't understand why she would leave me who treats her good for someone like that anyone?
faithfully Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Maybe you treat her too good and invested your life around her, showered her with attention and she got bored. Some women/girls/females may see you being too nice as a weakness and obviously she didnt appreciate it. Thank your lucky star you were only together for a short period than 10 years down the line. 2

d0nnivain Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Somewhere, somehow this girl is damaged. She picks really inappropriate men. At your current life stages 19 v 25 you are too old for her. A relationship with a 32 year old unemployed father of 4 is whole inappropriate. Be happy you dodged a bullet. This child has a lot of growing up to do. 2
faithfully Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 but what is wrong with attention.. i mean i didnt make her my main focus. Wayyy too much attention is off putting and not attractive at all. After a while it get irratating and annoying Everyone different, some women love it ie myself and some dont and maybe shes one of those women who hates it
faithfully Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Take this as a lesson OP- Why would you date a 19 year old girl, hardly has life experience. Whats wrong with some1 23/24/25 even?? Next time dont go for someone that young if you want a relationship

lolablue17 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 She said she knows she should be with me because I treat her really good but this guy is a bit of an ******* and she is sort of interested in him for that. I wonder what is the ******* word.... 1
David87 Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 She's too young, doesn't know what she wants and she's just experimenting. What do you expect her to do at this age? To get married ? Move on and find someone more mature. 2
Trovador Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 So, if the other guy was 21 y/o, good looking and successful would hurt less? Frankly, I don't get why you, and some posters, put down the other guy and think that he shouldn't have a shot at love... Maybe the way you think about "someone like that" has a lot to do with her decision of going after that guy a week after the bu... Anyway, this thread should be less about her and more about the way you are coping with the rupture...
TaraMaiden Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 It may interest you to know that while you are well on the way to biological completion - her brain hasn't even finished forming yet. She is in no mature state to make logical, well-thought-out decisions. AND - she's a woman. Even Mr Spock was confused by them.... I have never understood the female capacity to avoid a direct answer to any question. --Spock in 'This Side of Paradise'
Chi townD Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Yeah, My thing is that she's too young to make mature decisions. I mean legally, she's an adult. However, SHE'S A TEENAGER!!!! I mean, just a few short years ago, she was thumbing through a Teen Beat Magazine! She's still a kid and doesn't know what she wants in life. And if your 25 and he's 32 then she's got some deep seeded Daddy issues. My thought, let this one go. Let this one go and chase after some 32 y/o dude that has 4 kids (4 kids at 32? Really?!?!). Rule of thumb? Date girls that are old enough to get into a bar or club. They're more than likely going to be more maturely suitable for you.
KaliLove Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Because she's 19, and she felt like it. Nuff said.
