Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly causes spots? I am in my late twenties and have more spots now than I ever did as a teenager and I can't seem to get rid of them!

I wash my face twice a day and moisturise, I drink water, I even changed my shampoo recently in case that's what it was. I also thought it might be the hormones so I came off the pill six months ago. Nothing is making any difference and it's really annoying.

Anyone know any good products??

I'd suggest a trip to the dermatologist. I friend of mine was recently diagnosed with some skin condition that gave her, what she thought, were horrible pimple outbreaks. It turned out to be something else. She now takes antibiotics and some other medication. It's worth a try...

My mom calls them age spots. But you may want to have them checked by a derm. :)

What do you mean by spots? Pimples? Freckles?

For one, stay out of the sun. If they are freckles or larger brown spots, they could be hormone related (although normally you won't get those unless you are pregnant or premenopausal - could be caused by birth control). Once they are there, they don't go away unless you use a product designed to fade them. If they are really bothering you, go to the dermatologist for diagnosis and course of action.
