Is he over it? Does he hate my guts and just acting indifferent?

So I had to see my ex yesterday for a work event we were both helping with. We didn't look at each other. Well, I'm not sure if he looked over at me, but he had to pass by me several times, and most of the times, I just couldn't make eye contact with him (don't really know why exactly). We did not greet each other or say hello, which is the first time that's occurred since the break up. But he was unusually loud/vocal. He's normally pretty relaxed and docile but yesterday I could hear him from every where I stood and he was speaking and laughing loudly.

At one point he had to whisper something to a girl standing next to me and he actually lingered there for a while - was he trying to make me jealous?

At another point in the day, he sent me a text, purely business, regarding some arrangements that had come in (I was assigned to collect them and place them). It definitely felt weird as I'm not used to texting him so "formally", but I remained professional and responded accordingly.

I'm dying to know what he's thinking/feeling. Could it possibly be an facade of indifference? Because honestly, I put on that face too yesterday, acted very professional. But I haven't stopped thinking about him and what happened at all. Is it possible that he is still thinking about what happened as well? Or is it possible that he was so put off by what I said that he instantly stopped liking me and threw away all the amazing moments we shared?

Do men usually take a while to process what happened? Do they put off dealing with that type of issue until after real work is done?

If anyone has any insight, would love to hear it.

Thanks!

Is he thinking processing about what happened ?

No where here is a word of what happened at all and I read this twice.

You dumped him and expect him to smile widely at you ?

He dumped you and you did all mistakes we all did in such situation and still did not get him back?

So once again what happened here is X we perhaps could help if we knew how

Sorry. We broke up a few days ago. I just wanted to "talk", but he thought I was ending it and sorta beat me to the punch. I have issues so I freaked out in several different ways (think angry, then needy... overall very pathetic and damaging) Ultimately, he ended it by telling me he that I have ups and downs (this occured only during 1 day, the day before the break up) and he doesn't do unstable relationships. But we had just had a VERY heated exchange seconds before he said this.

After he said this, there was silence in the car, and then he said that we are to act professionally at work, and I agreed. He then asked if he could walk me to my door, but I thought it would feel awkward so I told him that was okay, he didn't have to.

Yesterday was the first day we've seen each other since the break up.
