I keep hearing the term "commitmentphobe"......did you all think that maybe the phobia only exists for you and that this other person will be quite ready to make a commitment when they feel the time is right?

Good question. But the evidence is quite frightening: ReluctantJuliette hasn't had a relationship for 5 years - ReluctantRomeo is the closest she has ever got to commitment.

 

ReluctantRomeo did have a relationship just before ReluctantJuliette, but he has a distinguished history of managing to avoid commitment - even with eligible and enthusiastic Juliettes. There are always good reasons why these relationships don't work out, of course.
