What are the wrong things to do while trying to get your ex back? Being needy? Desperate?

Posted

The wrong thing to do is to try at all.

Move on. Live your life. If your ex wants you back, he/she will let you know. If not, they won't. There's really nothing you can do or say to win them back, and to live your life based on the possibility is unhealthy and unproductive.

Signed, a girl whose ex came crawling back after I was positive I would never speak to him again.

Talking to them.

Realising you shouldn't have to chase a guy to get him back. If he cares about you, he would not be stomping off. You deserve respect and I'm sure you are a prize worth having. If he doesn't realise that, then leave him be and wait until you find the guy who does realise that.

This^^^ Stop wanting them back, and value yourself.

Same here, ex came back begging after I was convinced my life was as good/better without them.

For me, my biggest mistake with my ex was bugging her about why she dumped me. I should have just left her alone.

Trying to get an ex back is one of those situations where it is pertinent to say, and do, sweet f*** all.

Contrary to popular opinion trying to get your ex back isn't the worst thing in the world.

What if you guys both want each other, but both are too stubborn to make contact? Then you'll both be missing out.

If you know what you want then take the initiative. Don't beg, don't cry, don't be clingy just talk to them. Call them up and be like "hey, i miss you. I still want you. Do you want to at least try and work things out?" they'll either say yes or no. Only ask one time. If they say no then time to move on. If they say yes then sit down and have a serious discussion with them about how you guys can make the relationship work.

IMO once a girl leaves me she can't ever come back. Everythings over after that first break up, at least in my eyes. But i'm a different type of person. If you guys are truly meant for each other then breaking up and rebuilding the relationship on a stronger foundation might be the best thing that ever happens to either of you.

Goodluck. Make your decision wisely.
