Ciel0 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I've never heard of anyone else having the problem before...I've been told on multiple occasions that a guy is looking at me but I'm totally oblivious! Could it be because I'm deep in thought? I'm at a loss! Have you experienced this before?
AntiSocal Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 You aren't aware of your surroundings. Make a conscious effort to keep your head on a swivel and look at everyone who goes past. Then you'll be able to notice guys checking you out. 1
todreaminblue Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 or you could be subconsciously choosing not to notice it...do you feel people looking at you?....its quite possible you are in thought....only you know what you are thinking when someone asks you why you arent noticing guys checking you out.....i often choose not to respond....even when they flirt with me...but i do feel it.......deb 1
d0nnivain Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 If you now recognize that as a concern, make a point to be more aware of your surroundings. Forget the romantic aspects. Paying attention to where you are & who is nearby could prevent you from being a crime victim. 3
Author Ciel0 Posted March 29, 2014 Author Posted March 29, 2014 I actually don't seem to feel people looking at me. it's really odd, I don't remember this being an issue in the past.
todreaminblue Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I actually don't seem to feel people looking at me. it's really odd, I don't remember this being an issue in the past. i often vague out...i lose time actually so to me it is a concern as a poster said you can become a crime victim not noticing your surroundings......and i have been a victim of a few.......maybe thats the reason why i have been a victim......i tend to go away in my head......maybe its just people taking advantage of that.....which sucks.....I pull myself back into reality by anchoring my thoughts to a common point or even a person and focus.......doesn't always work.....but i do feel people looking at me....i am aware in that respect...even more so...one of the reasons why i zone out....i do have a mental illness ...i think this compounds the problem.....if it hasnt been an issue for you in the past..(with me it has been since i was little, i have always been this way.......god must look after me though and i have insight into people so it balances out).....maybe talking to someone about what you are feeling and thinking while zoning out may help....a doctor you trust maybe..deb
