Popsicle Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) The out of blue email, text or call that says: -Hi, how are you? Just wanted to see how you're doing. -Hope you are doing well. -Hey, are you okay? Or any variations of such. These all mean the same thing which is "I want to talk to you" when coming from an xAP after being out of contact for a while. Just FYI. (cocochai's thread inspired me to write this) Edited March 28, 2014 by Popsicle 3
Cocochai Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Agree, it's never truly a "just checking up on you" it's to see if that closed door can be opened again. 3
herself Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I guess they are breadcrumbs too. Im always so weary & afraid of getting sucked back in and can never tell if the undertone is "I care about you genuinely and miss you horribly" or "I need an ego boost and want to use you for a last go round but I dont plan on sticking around and truly investing" Soooo....I think those random check ins are dangerous unless your truly indifferent. Sigh.
