Im in a tough spot.

My ex and I broke up 9 days ago. She has told me that she misses me, still cares about me and is depressed.

We were together for one year.

Her reasons for breaking up with me are as follows:

I moved to Florida from Chicago. It was quite a culture shock for me, and I always put Florida down. She feels I would be happier back home, and doesn't want be to be miserable here, as I have often stated.

For the record, I never gave Florida a fair shake and took advantage of its fine resources....I would then compare everything to Chicago.

The other reason is because she thought we had personality clashes. In other words, she thought she got on my nerves.

Teh truth to that was we work the same job-place, the same schedule. We drive to and from work everyday together, then she would sleep over everynight. We had 2 days off togther, that we all always were togther on. In other words, we had no space, or seperate lives.

Both of these things are easily correctable, but she is not willing to give me a second chance, saying that she should not have had to break up with me for me to see these problems and know how to fix them. She is very stubborn and will not change her mind.

She wants us to still be friends and hang out and talk, stating that she really like the person I am.

I have been a wreck. Lost 10 pounds, haven't slept a wink or eaten. I made some bad mistakes by pressuring her, all week.

Today, we agreed to hit the "reset button" and be friends. We will hang out and talk, but she is not looking to put anything back to togther, but states that "if its gonna happen, its gonna happen", and that anything is possible. She says for now it is over, but doesn not know what the future has in store.

We are going to be working togther in the morning, as well sunday night. We have plans to go out on monday.

Do you feel this relationship is salvagable ?

Any tips on how to get her back ?

I am so in love w/ her and out of my head.

Most people that live in Florida put Florida down. Florida is a ****ty place to live. Especially, when you've come from Chicago.

Even when you do, you'll still find it sucks. Move as quickly as you can.

Weak reason. So is she doing you a favor by breaking up? How considerate of her to assume that she is the person that knows what is right for you. I don't buy this. This sounds like a cop out to me. I think she broke up for other reasons and isn't being honest with the situation. By saying she did it for "you" gives me the impression that she wants absolve herself from any guilt she may have. My guess is she's unhappy with the relationship. It's either the way you treat her or it's not the type of relationship she wants, but I highly doubt that this woman loves you and is willing to walk away from the relationship because she thinks she "gets on your nerves".
