I think it's because he knows he can get what he wants without putting a label on it or committing more so he doesn't feel he has to. 3

Because you can't get to know a person after just one year. Maybe he wanted more time.... What were your intentions? engagement, mariage or move in together?

Ask yourself how long you want to wait for this guy to come around to your way of thinking? How long to you want to have to audition for the part of his lucky wife? You've already wasted one year, do you really want to waste any more time? Move on and find someone who doesn't need a year to realise how special you are. Good Luck. 1

Same reason you kept him for a year plus, he enjoyed it. If you're looking for something deeper it is best to be honest with the person, and then give it time to develop.
martaldn Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 yeah I agree with the other people here. basically he wants you to be there for the sex but he doesnt want nothing else from you. you need to stop to give him the cake and walk away. maybe he will realize what he is missing and maybe he will decide to give your situation a go or maybe no. best of all is to leave though... - i have wasted 5 years of my life in this sort of situation so I know how hard it is. run before you fall in love..!

Both he and the OP agreed to a physical only relationship. She wants more, and he knows he doesnt see her that way. She can walk away if that bothers her. He did nothing wrong.
