gizmo1818 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hey all, A little background...Met a girl on OLD and had our first date this past Wednesday. We're both mid twenties. The one hour date I thought we would have, turned into about 5 hours and it probably would have gone longer, but the restaurant we were at closed. The conversation flowed and there weren't any awkward silences. The night ended in a make-out session. We had tried to get together this past weekend, but our schedules never lined up. I had a really busy weekend and so did she. We have plans this Thursday to go bowling. I was thinking about asking her to lunch before that. Do you think that is too much too soon? I don't want to come off as needy or scare her away as I'm not, just excited to get to know this woman better.
Stay Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Why the rush? You're going to get to know her on Thursday. 1
d0nnivain Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I would do lunch as the 4rd date then do a 4th quickly after that but not the next day. Maybe Monday lunch & Friday dinner.
Author gizmo1818 Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 Why the rush? You're going to get to know her on Thursday. There isn't really a rush, just have some free time tomorrow for lunch. I just don't want to come off as needy.

I know how exciting it can be but personally I wouldn't meet too often in the beginning like that. It kinda kills the mystery and excitement one or the other has built up towards the next date.
Supes Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hold off, Thursday isn't that far away. I know you'll want to see her again but you should definitely wait!
myothernic2 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I say go for it... I'd personally be excited if her interest is as high as yours is right now
d0nnivain Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Are you talking about next week after my date this Thursday? Or just in general? Sorry. After your Thursday date. Do lunch Monday, then dinner next Friday.

She's not your gf yet.
acrosstheuniverse Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 If your schedules are as busy as you make them out to be, then I'd grab the free time you have and ask to meet. I couldn't see my now new bf for ten whole days in between date one and two (and date two ended up being drinks at mine at 11pm after work, as literally nowhere was open by that point), so when he was arranging the third date and I said I was free Thurs or Fri, he said 'how about both?' I really liked him so I was happy I got to see him two consecutive days. If she really likes you then she'll be happy to see you and happy that you asked even if she can't meet. Trying to meet every day is clingy, sure, but I don't think two or three times a week is mad overkill or anything. 1
