Frazzle Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (edited) Long story short. I have a co-intern who I became acquainted with awhile back. She helped me with some job search stuff and we became email buddies since I didn't have text. I wouldn't say we're friends but more like acquaintances. Nevertheless, we get along well at work. I asked for her number and told her we should hang out sometime to which she said yes. However, when I called her up, she didn't pick up and later emailed back and implied that she had a boyfriend and suggested we get lunch at work. Afterwards, we only got together for lunch at work. She would still email me random stuff like a youtube video one time or holiday greetings. Shortly, she changed her work schedule so we didn't meet anymore. I emailed her saying that we should get together and catch up but she never responded. So I sort of gave up and moved on. However, a couple of days ago, I emailed her to see how she was doing and to ask her about law school (she's planning to go to law school) which I was considering. I expected a curt answer based on how we stopped talking. But I was surprised that she actually sounded really excited and enthusiastic. She basically typed a whole paragraph. She even mentioned that she could change her schedule to come on a day I will to talk more about law school. Here are the opening lines: "(Insert name)! I was thinking about you and was planning on sending you a message to see how you were doing but it looks like you beat me to it! It is great to hear from you! I am always more than happy to answer questions about the LSAT, law school, etc. so I'm glad you asked!" Now am I reading too much into it or is there some potential here? Even as friendship? And am I over-analyzing the lines "I was thinking about you"? At least I know she wasn't trying to avoid me based on how she never replied to my last email. Edited March 24, 2014 by Frazzle
